AEM elects Caterpillar’s Otto Breitschwerdt to development tools sector board


The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is happy to announce the election of Otto Breitschwerdt, Caterpillar vice chairman with accountability for its constructing development merchandise division, to its development tools sector board. 

“I’m trying ahead to working with Mr. Breitschwerdt as a member of our CE Sector Board, and gaining his perspective on the development tools business,” stated Megan Tanel, AEM senior vice chairman of the development tools and utility sector. “He brings each a deep and broad information base to AEM, particularly relating to the development tools world in Latin America.”

Breitschwerdt joined Caterpillar in 1990 and has served in a wide range of positions in gross sales, advertising and marketing, operations, engineering and provide chain. Previous to being appointed vice chairman, he was a basic supervisor in Caterpillar’s constructing development merchandise division with world accountability for the manufacturing, design and advertising and marketing of the small wheel loader, compact wheel loader, compact observe loader and skid steer loader product households. Earlier than that, Breitschwerdt frolicked in a wide range of different Caterpillar assignments within the U.S. and Brazil, together with japanese U.S. area supervisor, engineering and provide chain director, Brazil district supervisor and Brazil facility supervisor. 

Breitschwerdt earned a level in agricultural engineering from the College of São Paulo in Brazil and is a graduate of Caterpillar’s Digging Deep program supplied by Stanford College.
